Chapter choirs will be the living, breathing embodiment of the Songbook, as well as other music for social and ecojustice. Chapter leaders will lead community events in their local area, and teach others how to sing and lead the songs. More like a civic organization than a traditional musical ensemble, Justice Choir's programming and message will revolve primarily around local issues and the urgency of current events. With a large enough following we will have enough forces to respond “pop-up” style to issues in our local communities: singing at marches, rallies, houses of worship, or anywhere a marginalized sector is needing a bigger voice.
The flagship Chapter will be Justice Choir-Twin Cities, housed at Westminster Presbyterian Church (Minneapolis), and led by Tesfa Wondemagegnehu.
